Bohemian Art expressed through light and tradition.

Some of the exclusive chandeliers at Litolier are of Bohemian origin, which come from Austria. The manufacturing of this noble material traces the history of an eight-century-old art wherein light represents the ultimate emotional experience and crystal is its finest expression. The purest essence of the Bohemian crystal can be found in the sparkling glitter of each element of its exquisite chandeliers. With an unmatched expertise, each chandelier is a work of art that brings to mind the echoes of history.

Bringing Murano to India.
Other popular chandeliers at Litolier are made of Murano glass from the island of Murano in Venice. Since the early 11th century, Byzantine craftsmen played a role in the development of Venetian glass, an art form for which the city is well known. Murano's glassmakers held a monopoly on quality glassmaking for centuries, developing or refining many technologies including crystalline glass, enameled glass (smalto), glass with threads of gold (aventurine), multicolored glass (millefiori), milk glass (lattimo), and imitation gemstones made of glass. Today, the artisans of Murano are still employing these century-old techniques, crafting everything from contemporary art glass and glass jewellery to murano glass chandeliers and wine stoppers. In fact, they continue to set trends in excellence, style, colour and cut for glassmakers everywhere in the world.

Belgian artistry on Indian shores.

Some of the lights at Litolier also use the famous Val Saint Lambert crystal from Belgium. Named after a nineteenth century abbey, the 'Val Saint Lambert' crystal has since gained worldwide recognition. The factory in the abbey reached its pinnacle shortly before the First World War when every day more than 5000 artisans produced about 160,000 crystal items. The crystal vases and other decorative elements found their way to houses all over the world. Val Saint Lambert crystal was famous for its purity and exceptional brilliance. Today, the Val Saint Lambert plant produces a total of 1400 different items - from vases to art deco pieces, and of course, the lights and chandeliers that make up Litolier's magnificent collection. Go on, get your own little masterpiece today.
